Fine Dining

From hearty breakfasts to fine dining in a remote mountain lodge, we do our best to make a lasting impression on you during your stay. Island Lake Lodge provides the whole package; spectacular mountains, incredible forests, beautiful lakes and an unbelievable dining experience. While you spend the day taking in all the mountains have to offer, our chefs are planning and preparing an exquisite menu that is sure to be a highlight of your Island Lake holiday.

We encourage our chefs to expand their creative flare to make your mountain experience unforgettable. Gaining their education and experience from around the world, the culinary team sources international influences and top quality products to create an unforgettable dining experience. Creating a new set of menus every day (see sample below), our team is currently hard at work conceptualizing the incredible tastes they will create. All our chefs have a passion to cook and many are Red Seal certified. Stay tuned for our latest creations from our culinary team.

Wine Library
Our dishes are brilliantly matched with an extensive and eclectic wine list. Collecting great wines from California, our neighboring Okanagan, Europe and the new world, our cellar is a proud representation of the quality we offer our guests. Explore a new vineyard's best or a tried and true classic from France or California. Our wine library is now complete in the new Tamarack lodge. If you have a special request for a specific bottle, please contact our reservations team and they will do their best to look after your request.

Menu Sample
We welcome you to savour our fine dining in the mountains created with the freshest local produce and finest ingredients. For your dining pleasure we offer a three course Table D'hôte and an à carte dinner menu in the Ancient Timbers Dining Room. Lunch is served on the patio of the Bear Lodge offering majestic views from every table. Our culinary team creates a new menu each summer season, here is a sample of our 2008 menu for you to enjoy.
